Analogies_esquisses.JPG

Between natural sounds and artificial tones, the acoustic instruments imitate a digitized nature. The different sound objects used have morphologies at the edge between artifacts and organic sonority. The errors that the machine can generate during digitization processes are exploited as errors in the way we perceive. Cicadas or synthetic sounds, birdsongs or electronic sparkles, breath or white noise, timbre or harmony? Analogies proposes a journey between real and virtual landscape, between awakened state of consciousness and altered state of consciousness. The piece is divided into four uninterrupted sections:

Violent and inexorable like a machine
Summer night
Electronic apparitions
Coma

I dedicate it to my father.
